Chai Tea

 

1-2 Tbsp Cardamom pods

5              Cinnamon sticks

20            Black Pepper seeds – whole (or flatten w\knife for more flavour)

12            Cloves - whole

2”x1”      Ginger root – sliced

2”            Turmeric root – sliced

 

Simmer ingredients in about 1 Litre of water for 20-40 minutes.

Strain liquid into 1 Litre jar.

Use half strength with your choice of hot water, soy, cow, rice or almond milk. To this, you may like to add your favourite leaf tea such as black, green, white or rooibos

A cup of this is the perfect way to begin any day, particularly a cool Canadian one!
